Check Out Photos Of The Popular Late Biafran Founder’s Aircraft That He Left Nigeria With After The Civil War


We all know the Civil War to be indeed one of the most tragic incidents recorded in history that shook Nigeria.

It was a violent and terrible event that resulted in the loss of many lives as well as property in Nigeria. In spite of all the terrible killings and tragic acts, we all know the very famous man who goes by the name Chukuwemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

Chukuwemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu–

He was born on the 4th of November 1933 in Zungeru, British Nigeria, to the late Mr. Chukuwemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Before his unfortunate demise on the 26th of November 2011, he was a Nigerian Military officer Statesman and an active politician from 1983 until 2011.

Mr. Chukuwemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu allegedly served as the military Governor of Nigeria’ s eastern region in 1966.

Ojukwu was best known as the leader of the famous Biafran Breakaway Republic, which he led from 1967 to 1970. According to records, he was a very active member in assisting wounded and helpless Igbos and others during the war and was said to have fled Nigeria to the Ivory Coast after the civil war. In an aircraft which by all indications was unknown or probably forgotten by many Nigerians until 2017.

In early 2017, a Nigerian Magnate and Senator, Benedict Murry Bruce, a representative of Bayelsa state, took to Twitter to share photos of an alleged old aircraft used by the late legend Chukuwemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

In the photos, one could see senator Ben Bruce standing beside the aircraft in a photo he shared online. He also shared his thoughts and suggestions on how he felt that it would be most appropriate if the aircraft was taken to a Museum and kept there for remembrance as part of Nigeris history.
