The term Congo refers to two countries that border the Congo River in central Africa, Africa’ s second largest river.
According to legend, the name Congo was derived from Bakogo, one of the Bantu tribes that inhabited the area. In other words, Congo has two nations or countries, which include the Democratic Republic of the Congo being the largest and located in the Southeast while the small nation known as republic of Congo is located in the Northeast of the country share the same names but have different and historical statistics.
The Democratic of Congo can be added as the capital of the Democratic republic of Congo, also known as Congo, Kinshasa, which is the largest city.
The Democratic Republic was formerly known as Zaire and was once the Belgian Congo. It borders the Central African Republic and South Sudan to the north, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi to the east, Zambia and Angola to the south.
The republic of Congo consists of Angola and the exclave of Cabinda, as well as the Atlantic Ocean to the west, with access to the oceans via a 25- mile stretch of the Atlantic at Muanda and the roughly half- width mouth of the Congo river.
It is also known as the largest part of the African country, with a land area of 2344858 square kilometers, which is much larger than Mexico and one- quarter the size of the United States.
As of 2019, the total population was 86. 8 million people.
Following that is the small republic of Congo, which is located on Africa’ s western border.
The Congo is made up of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

However, the CIA discovered an intriguing fact about the country’ s flag.
A yellow band divides the flag from the lower hoist side; the upper triangle (hoist side) is green, while the lower triangle is red; green represents agriculture and forest, while yellow represents people’ s friendship and nobility and red can’ t be explained, but it has to be associated with the struggle for independence.
Both countries have seen their share of civil and political unrest. The Democratic Republic of Congo is said to have experienced 3. 5 million deaths from violence, starvation and disease since 1998. Other problems associated with their death include the country being a source of destination and a country for men, where women and children are subject to force labor and s3x traffic, where the majority are from the internal environment surrounded by armed groups and rogue who are outside official control in the country unstable Eastern province.
And as for the small republic of Congo, Marxist president Denis Sassou- Nguessou returned to power after a civil war in 1997, diverting the Democratic transition that took place five years ago.
